Bari Cooper Sherman
bsherman@canyonpartners.comBari Cooper Sherman is the General Counsel of Canyon Capital Realty Advisors LLC and Canyon-Johnson Urban Funds. Prior to joining Canyon, Ms. Sherman was a partner in the real estate law firm of Appel Law Partners, LLP. While at ALP, Ms. Sherman's practice focused on a broad range of real estate transactions including, acquisitions, dispositions, financing and leasing of retail, office, mixed-use, industrial and residential projects. Ms. Sherman also served as Vice President of Operations and Associate General Counsel for a large privately held import company, and prior to that, practiced real estate and general business law as a partner with Ervin, Cohen & Jessup, LLP in Beverly Hills. Ms. Sherman is a graduate of The George Washington University (B.B.A., Finance), The National Law Center at The George Washington University (J.D.) and also studied abroad at The American College in Paris.
